I retouched the first advertisement for the HP+ campaign, which was conceptualized by Hunter Hindman and John Norman. The creatives wanted a surreal appearance for the image, with the astronaut reflected infinitely in his visor. The initial cost of the campaign was several hundred million dollars, and it featured a 16-page spread in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. The campaign was launched after Hewlett-Packard's acquisition of Compaq Computer, which was the biggest merger in the computer industry at the time.
